Investing in our children's destiny through quality time and meaningful words.
We once asked one of our daughters why she should not copy her classmates' behaviour and habits.
She answered: “Because I am a sign and a wonder for my generation. A sign is like a traffic light: I show when to move and when to stop. I should not copy them; they should copy me.”
Wow! My wife and I sometimes wonder where our children find the words they use in our conversations.
We found the answer in Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
In other words, they get these words from our conversations and the books we give them.
She had heard these words many times as we meditated on the book “Paroles de Percées pour Destinées Glorieuses”.
I mean many times: these words were repeated and explained with love and patience. They ask plenty of questions along the way too!

Have you ever wondered where something your child said or did came from?
School, perhaps? Friends, sometimes?
Often, it comes from home and the conversations children hear most: television, video games, manga, the Bible or family discussions.
By God's grace, we have chosen the last two in our home, using several books, including “Paroles de Percées pour Destinées Glorieuses”.
A prayer for today
Father and Lord, give me the grace to be more than a biological parent. Help me nurture a great destiny in my children through the quality time and words of greatness I sow into their lives every day, in Jesus' name!
